kaspersky is so much memory in my PC. How do I reduce the momory usage of this antivirus? I'm using Kaspersky in both my laptop and desktop. Somehow, the Windows Anitvirus 2008 has been installed in the computer. How to remove it from the system? While opening internet explorer, this site opens automatically and we could not open any other site. Antivirus in two OS? I am using both xp and vista on a single pc. currently i have quickheal antivirus on xp. should i install another antivirus for vista or i should leave it as it is? It should not confirm or open dialog boxes etc. If virus is trying to come in the antivirus should simply clean/block it. Unable to uninstall PCTools Antivirus? I've had this program for about a year. I installed the Vista SP1 and suddenly have problems. Tried to restore to before SP1 but the restore hung on the Registry for 4 hours till I finally shut it down and rebooted to the latest good boot through Safe Mode. So, now my problem with PCTools antivirus is that I can't get into it AT ALL to stop it and I can't uninstall it unless I do (wanted to install a different antivirus). In process of trying, I've run across all sorts of errors and PCTools won't help at all since it's a free version. These are some of the things I've done/seen while working on this: 1) Removed it from the startup menu - but it's still running 2) Installed newest version hoping that it would overwrite the old and I would be able to get into it. Antivirus? Which antivirus with active protection uses the least resources? I need an antivirus for a pc with low specs and installing linux isn't an option. The computer has Win FLP on it 64 MB Ram and is used for editing in Word 2000. So far it works great but i need an antivirus. On my other computers i use Softwin Bitdefender because i have the license already(comes with a magazine i read monthly). But it uses way to much memory to be usable on the legacy pc.

AntiVirus Software not working on my new Vista Laptop? I have a new Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium that came with Norton Antivirus. But I don't like Norton because I download a lot of "risky" things, and it never seems to catch the virus like AVG does. So I uninstalled Norton hoping to just install AVG. But then after I installed it, it worked until I restarted my computer or exited after the initial loading of the software. Firewall and antivirus questions? I have my own Symantec Client Firewall and AntiVirus systems and both are enabled (showed on the right bottem corner). As I know, Windows Security Alert should recognized them and it will shows both firewall and antivirus are enabled under the window security alert system. ( it was like that before). Today, for some unknown reason, the computer shows " windows security alert" on the right botton corner and states both firewall and anitvirus are disabled , but I also see the symbols which represent firewall and antivirus are enabled. Then, I go to "windows security alert " to put a check mark on " I have my own firewall and antivirus progrm" , the security alert can go away.....however, when I shut down and open computer agin, the alert comes back...so are they enable? or disable? opening a antivirus website closed themselves? Hi,All My personal pc is suffring from a problem.recentlay i have taken internet in my pc.there was no ativirus software install in the system.when i want to install antivirus through online its automatically closed the website 1.if i search on a google ,antivirus software ,its just open and closed themselves. 2.if any folder name as antivirus its could not be open for installation. 3.my browser home page does not show me about blank.its show some other link in my home page.is this spyware ?how to remove spyware i am sure that my pc is infected by any virus.please solve my problem so that i can install antivirus software.

MY firewall antivirus monitor doesnt recognize a antivirus on my pc? I have vista O.S. and run Zonealarm firewall and Norton 2008 antivirus but the zonealrm antivirus monitor states that i have no antivirus installed on my computer but i know for a fact that i have nortan 08 i just done a full scan 2 days ago. why is this should i be a bit concerned?
Sbc or At&t Antivirus Question? I have Sbc, now At&t Antivirus I run it weekly along with other things to clean and protect my computer. I run the antispy and thats fine. It is the Antivirus, after I run it, it says I have 5 viruses, but there is no option to delete the viruses. So ever week i have the same viruses. I like there antivirus and it has worked good so far, until about two weeks ago when it says I keep on getting the same viruses and doesn't do anything about it. How do i take care of these viruses it is not doing nothing about?? or delete them?? I update the Antivirus every week before i use it. I would really like to keep this Antivirus program. aol antivirus wont allow me to install because of "another antivirus is already installed" yet i deleted nortn Ive tried deleting it from every place i could think of, registry, and everything, yet aol antivirus wont install. macfree antivirus not get uninstalled? i want to uninstall macfree antivirus but i could not found it in control panel--add/remove programme ,also i deleted no of files from macfree software . because of this i could not install other antivirus software as message is coming to uninstall macfree antivirus first

norton antivirus refund and renewal? Gahhh. Yesterday i renewed my antivirus, but i found that i had gotten 2006, when my previous version was 2005. All yesterday and today antivirus didn't activate and the subscription key didn't work, so i figured that the version number was the problem. I asked for a refund and accepted all the terms. Now anitivirus works. should i not have asked for the refund? if so, how do i undo it? and why has norton antivirus started working now?
