Please help remove Symantec AntiVirus Client!? I am trying to install McAfee security programs on my computer, and I can't because one previous antivirus file cannot be removed. I've gone through Add / Remove Programs to remove Symantec programs. One file will not be removed (Symantec AntiVirus Client). I have used the Symantec/Norton uninstall program from their site, and it didn't work either. Their customer support was of no help, as they referred me back to this program that did not work and suggested that I hire someone to remove it. When I used the Add/ Remove Programs function, I click on it, click Remove, confirm that I want to remove it when prompted. Then, it says, "Please wait while ... is configured." I see the hourglass indicating that it's working. Then, it stops. I've restarted the computer numerous times, and I cannot get it to remove. I cannot reinstall the program to remove it (as has been suggested before). I do not have the original software. Please be specific about what to do. Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions so far! Unfortunately, I was not able to remove it in safe mode, and I may end up getting the AVG program... Antivirus conflict..How to remove Comodo s/w from add/remove programs?? Hi, I recently downloaded the Comodo Antivirus knowing little that it would conflict with my already installed Symantec AV. That has created a major conflict between the two Antiviruses that my laptop is nearly dead! It operates damn slow! Now I tried to remove the Comodo Antivirus which started all that trouble, but to my surprise it is not getting listed in the "add/Remove Programs" options.. and there seems to be no option of "uninstall" when I click on the Comodo icon. Is there anyway out so that I can remove Comodo?? PLZ HELP!

Remove XP Antivirus? I have had enough! I accidently downloaded this malicious program and it wont remove. It doesnt show up on Add/Remove Programs or in my Search. I have searched online for removal of this program and nothing is working. I "uninstalled" but I want to complete remove all files that may have to do with it. Can't seem to find a program that scans and REMOVES them for free. They all charge or scan for free but wont delete them for free.
