Could someone help with Panda Antivirus software on Windows Vista? I received a notification warning me that my computer's security wasn't sufficient. When I checked, Panda wasn't anywhere to be found. I have finally been able to reinstall Panda, but when I try to open the program I get a message saying "Panda Antivirus has detected a new operating system and needs to be reinstalled. Furthermore, Windows defender has been turned off and when I try to turn it back on there is a message saying no new definitions could be found. Please help!!!
How long does Panda Antivirus take to update? It's set on automatic updates. I click on update, it searches for the updates and then tells me it's updating. The little green circle is spinning next to its icon on the toolbar, and I assumed that it'd be done sometime...My computer is on for a long time! But every time I open it, it says the last update date several moths ago, and the protection level still on LOW! Help!

I have to say up until now,I was satisfied with Norton but their inability to delete the virus after I had my computer scanned and it found the virus REALLY REALLY ticked me off!!!!!! Also,I can't believe their customer service-their product fails and they want to charge nearly $70 to help me remove the virus and then they can't even guarantee it'll work!!! But...before this turns into a Norton-bashing thing,I really would like to know what people think of Panda!! I just installed Panda Antivirus 2007 Beta, Why does explorer.exe restart/refresh itself like every 10min? I just installed Panda Antivirus and Firewall 2007 Beta. Every like 10 min. "explorer.exe" restarts/refresh itself. Its getting pretty annoying because all my icons and taskbar dissappear and then they com back like 2 seconds later. Panda Antivirus slow start with Vista.? My computer is taking forever to startup! I purchased an HP pavillion over the summer that's running Vista. Before i installed Panta Antivirus / Firewall the computer had a temporary Norton Antivirus program running. The startup would take about 60 - 90 seconds. Now that I have Panda Antivirus / Firewall running ( just upgraded to 2008 ) the computer takes over 3 minutes to startup. Does anyone know how to speed up the startup? Thanks for your responses. I did run the Norton uninstall program, and made sure all traces of norton were off my laptop before i installed Panda ( Panda wouldn't install unless Norton was off the system ). Could the conflict be Windows Defender? Does anyone know if turning off windows defender at launch will affect a system running a antivirus / firewall program?
Is Panda Antivirus worth the try? I need a powerful antivirus program that is focused on its efficiency, not on its appearance. For example, in the past, for a complete year, I had used only a command-line antivirus because I knew that it was better than an antivirus with a GUI. Now, my Avira AntiVir PE Premium license is going to expire in a few days. I have been a Panda customer in the past, and I admit that I was disappointed by its "wannabe Norton Antivirus" GUI -- colorful balloons appearing every five minutes to tell me how unprotected I was, etc. And the uninstallation was a painful process. But now, the software has changed its named; the company has changed its website. They look like they what to be taken seriously from now on. I wondered if the software is now more efficient and less Norton-like. I'd like to hear comments from current customers or people who had at least tried the free evaluation version.

Hey, just follow up on my previous question, I've already known what's keeping my computers with Handycafe from accessing the internet: When I have Panda Antivirus 2008 installed on my computer, the internet connection is lost. Even though I removed it from being started during logon, then restarted the computer I still can't access the net. However, the moment Panda AV 2008 was gone...the internet connection comes back. Does Panda corporate antivirus perform as well as Symantec? A customer of mine needs corporate antivirus on their network. We always use Symantec corporate. Panda antivirus and firewall. How about Zonealarm + Avast? Anyone else have their pc restart on a regular basis after it flashes up an alert. Never used it myself but am trying to work out if it's any good. Seems to be a resource hog and as sygate is finished... Anyone used Zone Alarm free firewall and is it any good? Same for Avast.
