Why does stopping CA Antivirus make my internet connection faster? My internet connection was sometimes slow for the past week when I used CA Antivirus. Now that I stopped it from scanning, the connection is suddenly much faster. Does that mean CA Antivirus was the big culprit? How can such an expensive AV program cause so much of a hassle? Should I remove it completely? Will the CA Antivirus company refund me?
How can i find the free antivirus CA that was provided with my orig Yahoo installation? I had to re-load (from disk) my yahoo software, and now I cannot locate the antivirus that ws running before. I was sure this was part of my Yahoo package... it was the CA E-Trust something or other.. where can I get it back without having to purchase a new copy?

How do you stop CA antivirus from displaying its banner in the corner every time it updates? Computer associates has a banner that hovers over the corner of the screen everytime it updates. Its quite obnoxious.

CA Antivirus icon not showing in right hand corner? The icon shield is not in the right hand corner, when I click start and open it, it still doesn't come up. Then it says "Attention Needed" for CA Anti- Spyware, I click Secure now, it says it need to restart the computer to make the change, but when it restarts, nothing has changed... What's wrong?
Some time ago I acquired the CA antivirus program. Now do not want it (expired anyway. Can not remove program. Any ideas how to remove this please. It also shows up in the Yahoo dropdown for some reason and appears regularly as a popup. Any advice appreciated.

CA Antivirus and adobe flashplayer? I need the latest adobe flash player because everything uses that now i cant watch videos listen to music view some photos. Pc really slow since installing "CA antivirus". Is there any settings that need to be changed? it was so fast when it was only the trial version of Nortons that came with the PC. once it loads the first page its ok but just opening IE with google as a home page takes almost a min. any ideas?

My computer has got something called win32/jampork.i found it thro ca antivirus.Can u tell me how to remove it It stops me from opening some websites and even closes the task manager by itself.On opening certain websites it closes it saying "Obscene sites are banned.So don't dare to open them" even if the sites are not obscene. it closes the task manager saying "Sorry ---SAM---". i've tried ca antivirus,ez etrust antivirus, adaware(lavasoft) and eset antivirus but none of them works.can u suggest me what should i do? thanx.

I have CA Anti-virus on my pc. and i've been getting pc pop ups that warn me about spyware on my pc. this happens as soon as i turn on the pc. it stopping me from using the internet. maraculosly its back right now but idk for how long so i came here. i ran a spyware scan and virus but the virus scan didnt find any virus. the spyware scan came up with one, but there are only two options "exclude selected spyware" and "quarantine all spyware".whis option will actually get rid of the spyware?
help, i once downloaded CA antivirus free software and it is like a leach. i cannot uninstall it. help? i downloaded it off download.com and since then the dang thing has been coming on every night and trying to scan. i cannot, repeat cannot, meaning, i am unable to find it to uninstall the monster. i have searched the hard drive and went to add/remove software. it is not, repeat, not on the list. someone please help me as it is preventing me from updating other software due to the conflict.

ATT Yahoo Update to Norton Antivirus Has Slowed My Computer. Can I roll back to CA or speed things up? After updating through Att Yahoo from Computer Associates to Norton Antivirus, my notebook now runs at a crawl. It used to boot up in 3 minutes and now takes 10. It took 5 minutes for Outlook to open. I've also noticed a serious drain on battery life. Can I roll back to the old Computer Associates system (which worked perfectly) or adjust the settings to speed things up? I'm running a Compaq Presario x1300 notebook with XP. Everything was fine before updating to Norton. Thanks.
COMPUTER HELP!!!! disinstall antivirus problem!!!!!? i just tried NOD32 ANTIVIRUS AND IT WAS A TRIAL. I TRIED TO DISINSTALL IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO WORK IT WELL. NOW WHEN I TRIED TO LOAD UP A TRIAL VERSION OF CA TRIAL ANTI-VIRUS WHICH I USED BEFORE AND IT WORKED WELL, IT SAYS IT CANNOT INSTALL DUE TO NOD32 ANTIVIRUS STILL BEING THERE! I DISINSTALLED IT ALREADY, OR SO I THOUGHT I DID, EVEN ON THE DESKTOP AND CACHE CLEANER. IT IS STILL SAYING CA-ANTIVIRUS CANNOT LOAD. WHAT DO I DO NOW? OMG. SOMEONE HELP ME, CAUSE I THOUGHT THIS WAS OFF....ANY advice in completely removing any trace of nod32antivirus.?
