How can I enable my antivirus program" Macafee Antivirus"? I had disabled Macafee antivirus ,and I have been trying to enable it again but I couldn't. I ,even tried to remove it but I couldn't, what can I do?

MacAfee and Yahoo for DSL? I want to use a MacAfee firewall and Yahoo antivirus for my DSL. How can I get them to recognize each other and play nice? The online help said that old virus protection software had to be uninstalled before Yahoo could be installed so they wouldn't be essentially doing the same things at the same times and tying up the computer. But I don't have MacAfee antivirus, just the firewall, so Yahoo antivirus shouldn't be impeded. How can I make this work?

Antivirus - Major Problems? I am trying to install an antivirus after getting BT Total Broadband. I had Macafee and successfully unistalled this. But, I have Norton Antivirus 2005 on my programs which I have tried to to remove. I have also tried to remove them with the "misconfig" information from Symantec. I have also tried the Symantec Autofix tool and they were all useless. Its up to you guys now - what is wrong how can I remove this. It seems I also had Norman AV somewhere along the line and this also cannot be removed - I need help...

how do i get rid of quickinfo virus? it has changed the home page to quickinfo and also i cant change it.. it has disabled the taskmanager.. run and also i cant change the folder options to view the hidden files.. i ran norton antivirus and also macafee.. nothing helped...
How do I build my own anti virus or antispyware program? I have had bad experiences with Norton, Symantech, and MacAfee. i have comcast cable internet and get macafee, i have a virus alert popping up, how do i get rid of it? does macafee cover spyware and worms and virus's? i dont know what to do? it says that my fire wall is not turned on and wants me to down load their antivirus stuff but i already have one. this stuff is popping up every second and its irritating. major laptop problem? Okay, iam about to throw my laptop out of the window, lately everything on my laptop is closing by itself, from IE to firefox to control panel and so does the system restore, everytime i restart my laptop i go to system restore it shows its off. So i figured i had a virus, i tried over 4 antivirus software from macafee to panda etc and all of them failed during installation, none of the programs made it past the second step and then all the sudden the setup is gone, sometimes even the downloaded icon for the software just disspaears off the desktop, what the hell could be wrong? i cant download any software to check for anything, i even went in safemode. I formated it and reinstalled windows all over but the same problem came back. Please advise.

Uninstalling firewalls. How do I tackle this? My trial period ended with the MacAfee protection installed on my new computer.Now I want to uninstall it and ude a new type of firewall and antivirus. I am running Windows XP and I know not to install and run a second firewall without removing the old one. Can any help me out as to how I uninstall all of the MacAfee protection so I can get my new stuff up and running. Doctor antivirus? Okay, Doctor antivirus keeps popping up and telling me i have 40 threats to my pc...However, I run my other virus and spyware detection programs (MacAfee) (ad-aware) and they say I'm protected.... How do I remove this "doctor antivirus" from my pc? active x problems? alright, some pages on Internet Explorer dont come out right and the reason it gives me is that my active x something.... so i do what it tells me to do and same thing happens. on mozilla firefox, the icons and everything appear but when i click on it, there is no effect. a software (antivirus) that i bought (MacAfee) was installed some time ago, but now i cant even see the menu to scan or anything. so i did a error scan on my computer and it turns out i have errors on my computer dealing with active x and other things. what should i do? should i buy a regestry cleaner? try out a new patch for active x?
Is trustedantivirus good and how do you fix a task manager? My friend left his laptop running with it online, but didn't realize it. He said he had been on his hotmail account, msn, and some adult sites a few days before, . When he observed his computer returning from work he noticed a bunch of notices constantly popping up on his computer from www.trustedantivirus.com. Is that a good antivirus soft ware and is it as good or better than macafee, nod32, AVG, etc. He said that he must have turned off all of the antivirus soft ware while he was at work, because it would affect how fast the computer runs. He ran about 6 of the Antivirus softwares already on his computer and he kept getting notices about viruses and trojans. A big problem he is having is that when he clicked ctrl+alt+delete, the task manager would not show up on his computer. There was a notice that popped up on the screen that read something like " You do not have administrative rights for the task manager" Does anybody know what the means and if it can be fixed?

How do I remove a Trojan virus that my antivirus software and other programs cannot detect? My computer keeps getting a pop-up that says that I have been infected with a Trojan virus. But when I scan my computer to find it and remove it, the program says my computer is fine. I have tried several types of programs (MacAfee, Windows Defender, free online AVG, etc.) and none of them detect the Trojan. I know I have a trojan because everytime I use windows Explorer, I get a pop-up saying so. Any help would be appreciated. I always give points for best answer! :) Thanks in advance!
Computer... Pauses???? I installed program, which I thought was Norton Antivirus... And the installation was never even completed!! But now, everytime I start the computer, a msg from (NT Krnl) appears... So, I installed MacAfee Antivirus & scanned the whole computer, but no viruss were found. The problem is, since that happened, the computer's been acting funny!!! It freezes for a second every 3 seconds!!! It's impossible for me to play music on it, 'cause it just pauses!!!!!!!!!! Everyone read this!!!? For those of you who don't know there is a virus going around that no antivirus software can stop. MacAfee Anti Virus detected it on Monday they are usually attached to a e-card or it may say"invitation" dont open it because it will DESTROY YOUR C-DRIVE. GOOD LUCK!!!
Anti-virus software? Which is the best antivirus software to put into my computer. Have read that Macafee make the computer slow to run after installation. I am also getting an MSN report saying that my virtual memory is low. Not to into computer jargon so can you explain in simple language Cheers
should i have both? I just downloaded macafee security suite. I also noticed after installing that my icon in the task bar for windows defender wasnt turned on. Should i still have windows defender turned on even though I have macafee for anti virus protection, because I know your not supposed to have 2 antivirus protection services on your computer. Just dont know if its the same thing as having 2 or not, and I dont know if macafee turned it off during installation or not .
McAfee Help!!? Recently ordered a computer (Windows Vista - Home Premium). It came with McAfee Antivirus/Antispyware/Firewall. I want to get rid of it and put on "Shaw Secure" which is a free antivirus/antispyware and firewall that my internet provider, Shaw, provides for no extra cost. Is it easy to uninstall MacAfee, and is Shaw Secure good.? And I don't want everyone telling me to upgrade to a free program when I can just use a free one thatcomes with my internet that I pay for. Having problems uninstalling Software? Im having trouble with my AVG antivirus it says there is a general failure when i try to uninstall it, which i need to do to put my Macafee on. Im also trying to uninstall Ad-aware which conflicts with some of the Macafee software but its saying "could not open INSTALL.LOG file". Any ideas what i can do to get them off my machine? Is there any software i could use to get them unistalled or any alternative method of removing programs? Thanks guys
Computer problems? We bought a new Dell computer. At first we had MacAfee which it came with. When the trial period was over I installed Norton Antivirus. I also have Webroot Spyware on it. It freezes and a lot of time it gives an error when trying to get on the internet. I uninstalled Macafee by the way. What's the deal? It's a brand new computer! I have cable connection it should a lot faster than it is. By the way, I don't download music or movies and I only view pics from my memory card from my digital camera.
