- Here is another free anti-virus- PC Tools AntiVirus Free Edition feature highlights Protects your PC as you are working, surfing and playing Detects, quarantines, disinfects and destroys Viruses, Trojans and Worms OnGuardâ„¢ protects your computer against threats in real-time Automatically checks for frequent updates against the latest threats. http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/ *Never install more than one anti-virus on your PC, as they may conflict with each other. On the other hand, its always good to install more than one anti-spyware.
- All the following programs are FREE. They offer Full Time (Active) Virus Protection If you do not have active virus protection, install only one. All are excellent. Free AOL Active Virus Shield (powered by Kaspersky) http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivir... AVG Antivirus 7.5 Free Edition http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/... http://www.download.com/avg-anti-virus-f... or Free antivirus - avast! 4 Home Edition http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht... I recommend going with AOL Active Virus Shield because it uses the Kaspersky engine to update files. The Kaspersky Anti Virus engine has proven on many tests to detect the most virus' out of all anti virus programs out there free or not free. I have used all of these myself and the program that seems to work the best is AOL Active Virus Shield.

- yeah avg 7.5 an its free
- hi. mcafee is the best all round solution. i wouldnt bother download free software as its not really reliable all the time and not always up to date.. but i've found that i can get hold of lots of software (complete) from www.torrentspy.com, you'll need to have a torrent downloader.. i have utorrent.. works well.. you'll have a huge choice there.. goodluck
- have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/... On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps.
- Go to File Hippo. All and much more.

- I looked at all the answers given to you. I can honestly recommend the AOL (Active Virus Shield) anti-virus. It is superb. It does not allow anything coming through. For a firewall I definitely recommend Comodo. Please install the Active Virus Shield, you will not be sorry. Stay away from AVG, it allows toomuch coming through.
- ActiveVirusShield has gotta be the best. Its got 99.23% Detection of viruses! AVG is rubbish. Its only 82.17% detection of viruses. Doesn't eat your system either. Like Norton. http://www.activevirusshield.com/
- a lot of people like avg also there is an antivirus with zone alarm firewall security that works well but i've had problems with BOTH norton and mcafee
