AntiVirus Software?
What is the best Anti-Virus Software to use and why?

- The best free anti-virus is probably AVG. Its very small and very effective. I've had experience using Norton which is alright, but it requires more CPU to run. Also, you have to pay for it.
- Norton is rubbish dont use it. It slows your computer down and it always has problems. At the moment im using avast antivirus and it is great. I havent had any problems with it and it updates itself. Its also FREE!
- Use nod32 it works perfectly. It is free tool and it updates silently if u had an internet connection.
- Use nod32, but if you really want to get rid of viruses/spyware, then dump windows and use linux, or dual boot em if you have to. And if you're concerned about software compatibility, then Wine (google it) is a great solution.
- I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
- There are many but some of the best are: zone-alarm, AVG, Norton, and there are more, if you go through http://www.toggle.com you'll find alot of free trials there, but you can't run them together, alot are not compatible.
