What antivirus software should I use with this problem?
I curently have a problem with my PC. It seems that it has a virus that kees me form shutting my PC down. It keeps restarting even if I choose the shut down option. My current antivirus software is updated and I have tried other softwares but it seems this virus is unknown because it cannot be cured by the latest softwares. My PC is also only 1 month ols so PC hardware is not the issue in this (and I have also checked if it is a hardware problem). My problem is I keep unplugging my PC for it to shut down and might cause damage somehow to my PC or AVR. Does anybody have the same problems? Can you please help me on how to solve this. Thank you very much. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

- Use Quick heal. Its small and good. But I think that your problem is about ur OS setting. Reinstall ur OS followed by formatting.
- McAfee and Norton are the best available in the market. I had used both. Both are more or less of the same price. When using McAfee, the system runs normal. But when using Norton, the system will be too slow. So, I always prefer McAfee only. I recommend you to use McAfee. I think it keeps you away from most of the viruses.
- Hi ! Yours should be a power problem / check the cables. Otherwise, for virus, boot the system in safe mode (press button F8 while booting) and then run anti-virus. The virus should be deleted. IF the problem still persists, i think reload the entire os.
- The problem does not seem to be related to a virus attack. Rather the problem appears to be with your hard ware. However to take a chance, just get your system formatted and see that this problem is not repeated after the formatting.
- use avg 7.5.u can download freely from .www.grisoft.com
- try avg antiviris uts free and adware se
- Try Kaspersky. If no virus is found, try to do a system restore to a previous date when your PC was shutting down properly.
- i had same kind of problem but not same problem. 1 type "msconfig" in RUN command 2 go to last tag called "start up" 3 click button "disable all". 4 restart your PC if still it conti... then just format the drive in which u have installed OS bydefault C: drive and reinstalled bcoz your PC is effected by viruses in BOOT sector.
- you may try xp antivirus....and thats wat i use
- and now for something completely different. You may not have a virus. Check your power options: Start->Settings->Control Panel->Power Options Go through each section and check your settings.
- It looks that you have a problem in your hardware. I advice you to check your RAM and SMPS. If you think its a virus try Online Anti Virus scanning by Microsoft.
