Antivirus Help
How can I check to see if antivirus, firewall & auto updates are all working without security center for xp?
My security center disappeared so how do I look to see if all is working okay. I have McAfee antivirus, but can't open it, but when I talked to a Dell tech he told me not to worry that I can't open it & not to mess with it, that it's working fine. So I never need to do an antivirus scan on my computer? 1) How to check firewall,antivirus & auto updates are running? 2) Don't need to do antivirus scans on my computer? THANKS!

- Dell sucks. I have 2 XPS-410's and Dell never offers much help when you contact them. yes you do need to run virus scan's every now and then.open start-control panel-then see if security center is there. if not have you tried system restore to a date before this started?if not do so now.if this dont help remove McAfee from the add&remove tool. then reinstall it. this should start it working right again.you can download it from there web site if you dont have the disk. good luck,and you can email me if you need more help.
